Mogambos

Mogambos is one of the more interesting restaurants in Saigon.  You will get a mix of drunk old white dudes at the bar (including the owner who has a beer/glass of wine in his hand from 9am to close), an incredibly fat, loud Vietnamese lady named Lannie (the co-owner of the bar) and some amazing food.  It’s definitely the best American style restaurant in Saigon.  My favorite dishes are the breakfast pancakes and eggs, hamburger (all styles are good), chicken fried steak, and lamb chops.  They also have a good meatball sandwich and a decent Philly cheese steak. Once you get to know Lannie, she will surely have bits of twisted wisdom for you, typically with the work Fuck used 2-3 times per sentence!  At the end of the day though, it’s a really good place.  The owners, as quirky as they are, pay close attention to everything so the food and service are very consistent.
